The Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group begins collaboration with the International Dravet Syndrome Epilepsy Action League
On January of 2010 the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group based at the Hackensack University Medical Center became a recognized referral center in the state of New Jersey and a participant in the International Dravet syndrome Epilepsy Action League’s (IDEA-L) Collaborative Clinical Research and Comprehensive Care Network (CCR-CCN). In this manner we have joined a network of referral centers committed to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary care to patients with Dravet syndrome and related disorders. As such, our epilepsy center can and will proactively address and treat the complex medical needs of these patient in a coordinated and evidence-based manner. Dr. Danielle McBrian, a pediatric neurologist, is leading this novel program for the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group.
