Dravet syndrome collaborative clinical research and comprehensive care program
On January of 2010 the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group based at the Hackensack University Medical Center became a recognized referral center in the state of New Jersey and a participant in the International Dravet syndrome Epilepsy Action League’s (IDEA-L) Collaborative Clinical Research and Comprehensive Care Network (CCR-CCN). In this manner we have joined a network of referral centers committed to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary care to patients with Dravet syndrome and related disorders. As such, our epilepsy center can and will proactively address and treat the complex medical needs of these patient in a coordinated and evidence-based manner. Dr. Eric Segal, pediatric epileptologist and director of pediatric clinical trials is leading this novel program for the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group.
