In order to be treated with this diet, a team of providers that includes a registered dietitian with special expertise and knowledge of these diets, an epilepsy specialist and an experienced epilepsy nurse is necessary. A social worker and an involved pharmacist should also be available. Most importantly, however, is a committed family/support system.
