What is the national month of epilepsy awareness in the US?
March
November

56% March
44% November

The correct answer is: November.  Perhaps a majority of respondents believed it was March because there are two big epilepsy events that happen around that time of year.  On March 26, Purple Day for Epilepsy is celebrated all across the globe.  This is a day in which people are encouraged to dress in purple, adorn offices and homes in purple, and spread epilepsy awareness and education all day long.  Another epilepsy event that sometimes has fallen in March is the National Epilepsy Walk organized by the Epilepsy Foundation of America.  The walk takes place in Washington, DC and every year seems to be drawing more and more participants.  This last year, the walk drew thousands and tens of thousands of dollars were collected!

Remember, November is the national epilepsy month in the US.  You have an entire month to spread epilepsy awareness in as many ways as you can think of and the possibilities are nearly endless.  We have just two months left before November rolls around so let’s start planning!
