Epilepsy on the move: Stay tuned

1) The date for the next National Epilepsy and Seizures Walk has been announced: Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Washington, DC.

Our team NEREG will be captained by Shelby Santucci and will be marching raising funds for the American Epilepsy Society.  The American Epilepsy Society promotes scientific investigation and exchange of clinical information about epilepsy through an annual conference that attracts epilepsy specialists from across the globe and supports up and coming epilepsy clinicians and researchers through awards and scholarships. 2) Exciting changes are coming to our Epilepsy Support groups: VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUP

The NEREG Virtual Support groups provide a forum that facilitates and promotes the sharing of common interests, information, and experiences within the epilepsy community. These online groups allow you to participate in support activities when you are unable to attend a local support meeting in person; and are managed by qualified facilitators knowledgeable on Epilepsy-related topics. During these sessions, you have the opportunity to speak with other participants, seek advice, make friends, discover new ideas, share your experiences – good and bad, and help support others managing Epilepsy.

Joining a group is easy!

• All 60-minute sessions are held through GoToMeeting®

• Each group is kept small in order to encourage friendship and optimal discussion time (8-10 participants.)

• All groups are led by an experienced facilitator who is knowledgeable about Epilepsy.

• Confidential.

• Participation in this facilitated discussion is expected and encouraged. You are not on camera, so come in your PJs.

Date: Third Wednesday of the month From January to June: From 6:00pm-7:00pm
