Our epilepsy community has been busy with purple knitting, and raffles to fundraise for the National Epilepsy Walk

Our epilepsy community is made up of patients, loved ones, and our team of health professionals.  Every year, we join forces to raise epilepsy and seizure disorder awareness, funds for foundations that support education and research, and to spend time together.   We have been working very hard these first months of 2015.

Team NEREG is made up of patients, loved ones, and staff members.  This year, Shelby Santucci is our team captain for the National DC Walk.  The team works tirelessly for months to raise funds and awareness about epilepsy and seizure disorders.  This year, as has become a tradition, wonderful volunteers have been creating beautiful purple (and teal) scarves, ponchos, hats, and baby coats that are being raffled off on March 15.  Our awesome office staff members have been busily selling raffle tickets to those who want to participate in the raffle and who hope they might win one of these lovely and very warm items.   If you come by our offices, don’t forget to buy a ticket for $2 and help support the team.  And if you win one of the knitted items, wear it proudly and raise epilepsy and seizure awareness all winter-long.

At the time this newsletter issue went to press, team NEREG had recruited 11 walkers and had raised $1674!

Please join the team and/or donate (no donation is too small or too big). https://getinvolved.epilepsy.com/fundraise/team?ftid=40915
