Epilepsy on the Move: Stay tuned for upcoming epilepsy and seizure disorder events and news in 2019
We strive to keep moving all year long in the march against epilepsy and seizures and the upcoming months are no different with educational events, symposiums and local epilepsy walks and even the National Epilepsy Walk in Washington, DC.
April 27, 2019, participate in the National Epilepsy Walk in Washington, DC choosing either the 1-mile walk or the 5K route. This walk brings together teams from all over the US raising awareness and funds for epilepsy.
March 31, 2019: Drs. Robert Trobliger and Lorna Myers along with Dr. Deepti Anbarasan and Dr. Paola Bailey (she was a fellow at NEREG several years back) will be presenting at the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation in New York City. The title of the symposium is: The neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry and psychological treatments of dissociative seizures (Psychogenic non-epileptic). This presentation is for mental health professionals (psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, psychotherapists, etc.).
June 5, 2019: Alternative Treatment Symposium organized by the Epilepsy Alliance of America (Epilepsy Services of New Jersey). More information will be forthcoming.
October 26, 2019: Glow Walk and Run for the Epilepsy Services of New Jersey. Where: Liberty State Park. Save the date/more information will be forthcoming.
