Epilepsy on the Move: Stay tuned for upcoming epilepsy and seizure disorder events and news in the second half of 2020

Stay tuned for epilepsy on the move: Who is not expectantly waiting for 2020 to be over?! Can we all agree this year has been one for the books?!  Well, luckily, 2021 is right around the corner and here are a few activities coming up in the much-awaited new year.

International Epilepsy Day is being held on February 8, 2021.  This is a day that is celebrated across the globe on all continents except for Antarctica and is the largest, most comprehensive awareness-raising event of all time. During this day, you can choose to hand out informational brochures or posters, wear purple items and invite people to talk about epilepsy, organize lectures or advocacy events and much more. There are usually contests that are organized by foundations and associations so if you are artistic and interested in showcasing your work, keep an eye out for this.  Our offices usually get all decked up in purple, purple, purple with decorations, costumes and purple candy. If you have an appointment, check us out.

In June, the Dravet's Syndrome Foundation is holding their 2021 Dravet Syndrome Foundation (DSF) Biennial Family and Professional Conference.  Last year's event was canceled and the hope is that this year, it will go on as planned with all the speakers and attendees that were previously planning on being there.
