MyID - Medical ID Solution: store your medical information safely

MyID is a one-stop comprehensive medical ID solution in which you can store all your health information in one place, which makes it easier to store, manage and access when you need it. Intrigued? Read all about it below.

How did MyID come about?

MyID was started in 2012 with the idea of being able to manage all of your health information in one place. There are so many different doctors and networks out there and their systems don't talk to each other. People are constantly having to track down their results, labs, medications, etc and they carry them in a folder that they have to take with them to their appointments or keep in their cars. We wanted MyID to be a way that individuals could be in charge of their medical data and store and manage it all in one place.

How does MyID work in the event of an emergency?

MyID is a comprehensive medical ID solution that provides an easy way to access, store, and manage your health information. Your medical profile can be accessed anytime, anywhere via MyID Products and our mobile app. Every product comes with 3 access points making it fast and easy for First Responders to access your profile & health information.

Could you briefly describe your many different options (who might they be best for, why would one choose one over the other or which two might complement each other?): MyID tag, MyID bracelet, MyID sport, MyID sleeve, MyID card, MyID sticker.

All of our products work the same way; the difference is mostly just the look of the bracelet. The MyID Sport is all silicone. This bracelet we recommend more for kids or active individuals because it doesn’t have metal on it.

MyID Hive and Flex have a metal piece on them that allows you to get standard or you can customize extra information on the front of the metal piece.

MyID Sleeve is an awesome product because it can slip onto a band or watch that you already currently wear, like the apple watch or fitbit etc.

MyID Tag has all the same stuff as the rest of our products but it also has NFC technology so you can tap it with your smartphone to get the information.

The sticker kits and wallet cards are just other options you can use to put in other places other than something on your wrist.

How is medical information entered? Manually, uploads of medical records?

The customer will create a medical profile where they can enter as much or as little information as they would like. They will manually enter the information.

How much medical information can be added to the account? Is there a limit?

There is no limit on information that can be added. With our Plus profile you can upload documents and there is a limit of 1GB of data for that.

How aware are emergency medical professionals of this product and will they know how to use it?

All of our products have the universal Star of Life on them so First responders will recognize that as a medical bracelet or product. We also have 3 ways for them to access the information, QR code, website or emergency number. So even if they don’t know how to scan the QR code they should know to call the 24hr emergency number.

Are MyID bracelets and tags waterproof?

Yes, all of our bracelets are waterproof.

Can someone with a latex allergy still wear these?

All of our silicone bracelets are made from medical grade silicone. They are all latex free.

Do any of your products have any metal components?

Yes, we have bracelets that have metal on them. Our Sport bracelet is all silicone as well as our Sleeve. The other ones have metal on them.

Do you have small and large sizes for your bracelets?

Yes, our sport bracelet has sixes from Child-XL. Most of our other bracelets we have a S/M size and a M/L size.

How secure are the clasps on the bracelets?

Our hive bracelet we have redesigned and now has a double rivet to close it and make it more secure. Our flex bracelets have a velcro closure or a clasp that is similar to a watch clasp.

How durable are they?

All four bracelets are very durable and we do have a 1 year warranty on our products if there is an issue.

Is this a one-time purchase or do you have a monthly membership charge?

We have a free basic profile so all you are paying is for the actual product. We also have our Plus profile that is $1.99/month or $19.99/year and we have family options. The plus membership gives you access to additional categories, uploading documents to your profile, sending text alerts to your emergency contacts when scanned, setting up medication reminders and more.
