Hyperventilation

Hyperventilation

This is another potent factor that could trigger a seizure, If hyperventilated long enough, a person  could be predisposed to having a seizure. If hyperventilation is a known precipitating factor, exhaustive exercise should be avoided. On the other hand, aerobic exercise could be very helpful and will not be a trigger for seizures. As epilepsy itself create many social limitations, patients could play sports, but should avoid exhausting exertion. On the other hand, hyperventilation could be a diagnostic tool for the doctor in persons with  absence seizures since this kind of seizures are very sensitive to hyperventilation and absence seizures could be elicited by the doctor to make a diagnosis.
