Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)

A seizure disorder is considered to be a disabling condition by the Social Security Administration. Briefly, in order to qualify for SSDI, a person must be under 65 years of age and have a physical or mental disability that keeps them from work.  The disability must be expected to last at least one year or result in death, and you must have worked five out of the last ten years. Some individuals may apply if they are considered to have a developmental disability (diagnosed before the age of 22).  Other criteria may relate, depending on your particular situation.
