Purple Pumpkin Project

October 31, 2023

Connecticut native was brainstorming one autumn day on how to raise epilepsy awareness. He came up with the awesome idea of painting his pumpkin purple and asking people as they walked by: Ask me why my pumpkin is purple. That opened the conversation and allowed for sharing information on epilepsy and seizures. The project is now national and has been going strong for over ten years!

All month long, you have the opportunity to paint your pumpkin purple and maybe add a little sign next to it that says "Ask me why my pumpkin is purple?"
