Our patients and NEREG have been busy over the last few months.

WALKS:
This year, the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group has participated in 5 Walks.  All donations that we collected have gone to the Epilepsy Foundation of America, NY, NJ, and CT.

In the first 6 months of 2011, we raised $17,395 for the Epilepsy Foundations!

a) The National Epilepsy Walk in Washington, DC on March 27, 2011

Our team collected in donations for the EFA: $5945 and had 27 team members who travelled from all over New York (Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Orange County), Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and one DC resident.
Our team captain recalls: When we woke up at 7AM, it was snowing.  We geared up with snow boots, hats, scarfs, heavy coats and our NEREG team T shirt on the outside.  As we headed out towards the Capitol Building, our meet-up point, Mother Nature got on our side; it stopped snowing and after a while, even the sun peered out from behind some clouds.
