Our Epilepsy and Seizure Experts have been busy
Our epilepsy and seizure experts have spent the first few months of 2015 giving lectures on epilepsy and seizure disorder topics and working hard on educating themselves earning epilepsy subspecialty board certifications and being selected to serve on Committees. Each one of these achievements is very important because they spell improved treatment for our patients.
We thank registered dietician and ketogenic diet specialist, Angela Samuels, for giving a very instructive talk on diet and epilepsy at our Hackensack, NJ office on February 18.
On January 21, NEREG held a Meet and Greet for Newly diagnosed patients at our Hackensack offices.
Congratulations to Dr. Salah Mesad for having passed his subspecialty certification in Epilepsy!
Congratulations go out to Dr. Evan Fertig, director of research at the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group. He has been appointed to serve on the Continuing Medical Education Committee of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
Dr. Lorna Myers participated in a YouTube series produced by the Epilepsy Foundation of America (Ask the Experts) in which she and Dr. Selim Benbadis discussed psychogenic non-epileptic seizures. All three videos can be viewed on YouTube.
