2) NEREG will be organizing two patient education programs this upcoming year in association with the Epilepsy Foundation of NJ at:
a. Hackensack University Medical Center  (April 2, 2011)
b. St Peter’s University Hospital (TBA)

There will be other patient education programs throughout New York and Connecticut.  Several are still in the works but you can go ahead and mark your calendar for any of the ones listed below:

SEPTEMBER 10th Staten Island
SEPTEMBER 24TH Orange County
OCTOBER 1st Westchester
OCTOBER 15th Connecticut
November 5th Manhattan

c. On March 23, 2011 Dr. Evan Fertig will present at the Health Awareness Day at the FLAGS High School Foreign Language Academy of Global Studies at 470 JACKSON AVENUE BRONX, NY 10455. He will speak to two classrooms of high school students about epilepsy, seizure recognition and first aid. We thank him for donating his time!
 
d. On March 27, 2011 nurse practitioner, Shannon Brophy will present at the Bergen County Sheriffs Youth Academy in Hackensack, NJ on seizure first-aid and safety for the cadets. We thank her for donating her time!
