Epilepsy on the Move: Stay tuned for upcoming epilepsy and seizure disorder events and news in the last quarter of 2022!

Stay tuned: There are plenty of upcoming activities that you may want to jot down and keep in mind over the next few months. These include our newly launched book club on books written by or about people with epilepsy and seizures, the 9th Annual Glow walk Run for Epilepsy (hosted by the Epilepsy Services of NJ), Epilepsy Awareness month coming up in November, and the American Epilepsy Society (AES) Annual Meeting that will take place in Nashville, TN this year.

On October 23, the Epilepsy Services of New Jersey will yet again be hosting their Glow WALK RUN for Epilepsy.  It promises to be as much fun and to raise awareness and funds as always but this time, the event is moving to a new location (Piscataway, NJ).  To read more about it and to register:

November is the National Epilepsy Awareness Month.  We have a whole month to raise awareness and improve the lives of those living with epilepsy.

In honor of November NEREG and MAESC will be launching a book club that will feature books written about or by people living with epilepsy and seizures. The club will meet every three months through a virtual platform and allow readers to discuss the latest tome and socialize at the same time.  Being part of the book club is free. The first book we will read is The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman.  There are already several people registered but there is room for more. To register, email lmyers@epilepsygroup.com.

On December 2, 2022: The American Epilepsy Society (AES) Annual Meeting will take place the first week of December in Nashville, TN.  Our staff will travel to this meeting to present our research, to learn from others, and to network with clinicians and researchers from across the globe.
